Demonstrating a clear commitment to excellence, a winning client-centred attitude, and a reputation for pursuing an environmentally-conscious approach in their industry, Optum is the proud recipient of two renowned and well-deserved awards:
The 2017 Chamber of Commerce, Ignite Wanaka Business Awards were attended by over 200 people, entered by over 50 local businesses, and finalists were judged by a panel headed by entrepreneur, Bill Day.
Wanaka’s growing economy was credited to the business excellence demonstrated by award finalists, and Day reported on the entrepreneurial spirit of the community.
“Business is thriving here. Most local companies are experiencing 20 per cent growth but some are leveraging opportunities into even greater growth. People are choosing clever ways of doing things differently, which indicates that our business community really punches above its weight,” he said.
The 2018 Project of the Year Award win was an enormous achievement for the company in a prestigious line-up of national awards.
Optum were engaged to complete all plumbing, draining, heating and solar work for the sustainable tourism destination, Camp Glenorchy, where their efforts played a huge part in the success of the project.
Optum Managing Director, Kevin Henderson, was thrilled and honoured by the win at the 2018 New Zealand Plumbing Awards.
“We have won awards previously, but the best awards to win are the ones where you are judged by your peers, who know what it takes to carry out all the tasks in a large-scale project like this.
This project is probably a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for most companies, but the dedication, perseverance, and high standard of workmanship carried out by our team makes me extremely proud to have them in the Optum team.
They consistently produce work to a high standard, meet time frames and are well respected by contemporaries and peers.
